Movie Magic

One of the best ways to entertain yourself of your family is by going to the movies. Everything is a bit more intense on such a huge screen and you don't have to clean up afterwards. However, going to the movies can be expensive and isn't everyone’s cup of tea.

If you prefer you can always stay home and watch a movie from the comfort of you own couch. Renting movies is extremely cheap (much less expensive than going to the theater). This is particularly true with the dawning of redbox which makes it convenient to rent a movie for a little as one dollar (less if you have one of the many promo codes). You do have to wait a bit longer to see the movie because it takes a few months to come out on video. However, there are so many movies you should not have any shortage of fun. Plus, you can pause, rewatch, and stop movies whenever you like while watching them at home. You also have the luxury of having your own furniture, surroundings and snack items.

To take it a step further, some people prefer to buy movies. You can buy your favorite movies on sale and build up your own movie library. That means when you want to see your favorite move for the zillionth time you will not have to go hunt it down and pay, yet again, to see it. It is a great way to have all your favorites ready and waiting for you.

What is really great about movies, besides being fun for the whole family and relatively cheap entertainment, is they can take you out of your daily life for awhile. We all get overwhelmed and we definitely all do not have the means to go on tons of adventures. You can go places you don't have the time or money to go to, have adventures it would be unsafe or unrealistic to actually have which gives you an amazing adrenaline rush, get some great cuddle time with your sweetie, or be scared out of your wits by scary movies that you can simply turn off and leave behind you when you are done.

You can even go to other worlds and experience things as closely as possibly that you may only have dreamed of. You may not have even dreamed of them. That is the great part about art you can experience. It makes your world grow and lets your mind float to places that don't involve the stress or boring routine of daily life. We can all afford to take a vacation every weekend, but movies are a great backup minibreak for the mind. Movies truely can be magic. Movies have a huge power - they can influence millions of people. They can also be of help in educating people. A movie can be directed in a single language and then later dubbed to several other languages to ensure that people are entertained linguistically.

History Of Movies

A movie can better be regarded as an illusion. A series of images called frames, when shown in a fast rate creates an illusion that the work is being done. One cannot see the change in frames distinctly as the rate of change of frames is much higher than that of the persistence of vision.
To produce a film is not a layman's task - a lot of things need to be arranged like sets, scripts, direction, actors, storyboard and a set of infinite things. By the late nineteenth century, the motion picture camera enabled the directors to capture the scenes on the film reel and play it on screens after processing the reels. Thus arose a new trend in movies, called the motion pictures. Motion Pictures were the first stepping stones to success in the world of Movies and from then on, there was no looking back.

It would not be out of place to add a couple of lines about silent movies as that is where the whole world of movies began. Who can forget Charlie Chaplin and his fantastic acting prowess which at times put the latest movies with sound and colour to shame!!They were all in black and white. It's extremely important to remember however that black and white can be just as subtle as color because you can do so many things to it. First, black and white is never just that. It is also all the gradations of gray in between. And silver. And beiges. And so on.

The next trend in the world of Movies was the introduction of black and white movies which were popular in the mid twentieth century. The black and white movies also included shades of grey that enhanced the looks of the movies as compared to the motion pictures. Directors even regarded black and white films of rendering the most realistic shades and colors.

It was only after 1930 that coloured movies came into being. A visit to the Universal Studios at Los Angeles,USA and a session there where they show how movies are made and how sounds are produced, how rivers flow, the turbulent rides, all inside a few acres of land is testimony to the great minds of producers and their imagination that a great movie like Jurassic Park was produced there!

Next, came the trend of digital cinematography that enabled the directors to distribute the films via hard drives, compact discs and many other media. This is the current trend in the world of movies but it has a contender with a great potential - 3D Movies. 3 dimensional movies enable the viewer to get a much realistic effect of the cinema and an illusion is created that the viewer himself, is present with the characters.

Movies encompasses individual motion pictures, the field of movie as an art form, and the motion picture industry. Movies(also referred as motion pictures and films) are produced by recording image from the world with cameras, or by using animation techniques or visual effects.

Movies are considered to be important art form, a source of popular entertainment and a good method for educating citizens. The cinemas give the movies a universal power of communication. Movies are becoming popular worldwide by using dubbing or subtitles, that translate the dialogue.
Movies are made up of series of images called frames. When these images are shown one after other with a fast speed, viewer has the illusion that motion is occurring. The viewer cannot see the flickering between frames due to persistence of vision. The motion is perceived by the viewer due to a psychological effect called beta movement.

A movie theater or cinema is a place or venue (usually a sound proof building or room) to view movies. Private bodies runs a movie theater for their commercial income paid by people in exchange of movie tickets. A movie projected by a movie projector on a large projection screen at the front of the hall or movie theater. Nowadays the movie theaters are equipped with digital camera projection, removing the need to create and transport physical movie print.
